Despite the recent controversy surrounding the Jean-Paul Gaultier collection inspired by Amy Winehouse, I think that a collection this edgy, disjointed and fun is just what the fashion world needs right now. I'm not sure that Gaultier created it for the right reasons, but the clothes speak for themselves nevertheless. The Amy beehives are classic and the silhouette evoked by Gaultier reminds me of timeless lines and femininity. I would love to see this Amy influence in more clothes this season.
