Embellished

Some last remaning photos from my holidays in Bulgaria. This is an old dress from Mango, which is kind of hard to wear given the fact that it is knitted but has short sleeves. It definitely now needs to be kept for the warmer spring months, although I love its embellished waistline and slightly glittery colour.

Summertime is made for simple and wearable dresses like this Mango find I picked up in the sales—the perfect little summer dress with a pretty cool back too. Hope you guys are enjoying some sunshine wherever you are!

Chill

The last few days have had an almost autumnal feel, but this didn't stop me from wearing these gorgeous Mango trousers that I've had for ages now, but have never quite gotten around to putting on. They are super soft and comfortable though, and will most definitely be my go-to summer item to replace by beloved jeggings and jeans. They have a high-waist, but I also like to wear them a bit slouchy like below. Now, fingers crossed for some warmer May weather...

Big City, Bright Lights

I had a really nice time shooting with Nas from Studio 1B today and, more importantly, we got some good shots of a few outfits which I will show you in the next few posts. Lack of sunshine, plus a lack of someone to take outfit posts means it's very hard for me to keep them coming so I'm glad I can share these photos with you in the next few posts. First up, a second look at my birthday dress from this post. I really love Nas' lighting in these pictures, so I hope you enjoy them as well!

Birthday girl

Forgive the blogging hiatus but my final project is taking over my life. That didn't stop me from taking a break last night and dancing until the small hours to celebrate my birthday with some good company, decorations, food and music. The dress is a birthday purchase from Mango which I haven't been in for a long time but they have some really nice things at the moment. Lipstick is Topshop's Infrared which is currently my favourite shade (orange/red) that I've been looking for all summer and finally found. I have also finally found the best and easiest way to style my hair with the Babyliss conical wand, which is essentially like curling tongs but you actually have to wrap your hair around the barrel and it comes out in these really cute waves that I love and work well with ombre hair I think. Burnt fingers are a negative side to this process but it's worth the trouble. Anyway I had a great time and the people I was with made getting a year older a lot more bearable and fun :)

Summer Rain

A few photos snapped before the biggest thunderstorm ever, as you can probably see from the colour of the sky. The blazer is from H&M (I've shown it on here before) and the shirt is a really cute Easter buy from Mango. It's got these sweet sailor/anchor motifs which you might be able to see if you stare hard enough at some of the pictures and I like the retro feel. I'm off to Bulgaria tomorrow so it's auf Wiedersehen to Germany for now...and although I'll miss it, I won't miss its weird summer weather!
