Precious Afghanistan - it's showtime!

You may have been aware about the Afghanaid charity event which I took part in last night from this post. Various jewelry and clothes designers got together for a night of entertainment, all with the help of raising money for Afghanaid. The precious stones in the jewelry were from Afghanistan and were absolutely stunning - I had a great time meeting the other models and organisers of the event and finding out a bit more about what Afghanaid does. What could be better than a night of fashion and fun, all for a good cause? The best part by far was getting to wear traditional Afghan costume, which was stunning with all its bright colours and detailing. To find out more about Afghanaid or the even held last night, visit their website: http://www.afghanaid.org.uk/

Precious Afghanistan

I really love this beautiful photoshoot by Marcello Benfield showcasing the jewelry of Sima Vaziry and Pippa Small. All these precious stones can be found in Afghanistan and if anyone is in London this Thursday (15th March), you should definitely come  to the fundraising event called “Precious Afghanistan” on at Porchester Hall, London, W2. The evening will feature designs by Pippa Small and Sima Vaziry and will raise funds for Afghanaid’s vital work. Tickets are available at www.preciousafghanistan.com or on the charity’s website www.afghanaid.org.uk, where you can also find out some more information about Afghanaid's work. I will be there modelling and it promises to be a really inspiring and fun evening!
