Village Bicycle x Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Tucked away in the heart of Notting Hill, hip boutique The Village Bicycle (website coming soon) entertained us with gourmet popcorn, sweets, funky eyelashes and a special movie night to celebrate the arrival of the Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony collection in their store. I'm generally not the greatest Chloe fan, but I was surprised by the wearability of the pieces. Leather dresses and skirts with cut-out patterns featured prominently, as did 90s varsity jackets and cut-off denim shorts. I could definitely see myself in quite a few of those clothes.

A great source of fun and glamour was provided by the Shimmer Twins downstairs, a brand which specialises in funky nails and even funkier eyelashes. I'd tried fake eyelashes before, but not ones which had cool gold and silver stars or cute red hearts on them, and I think they're really great for livening up an outfit. For all those fans of statement eyelashes, Shimmer Twins is the way to go.

Having never been to The Village Bicycle before, I was also impressed by the store itself. It's a really cosy space with great decoration, and features pieces from a whole range of designers - House of Holland, through to Sass & Bide and Felder Felder. Anyone looking for unique jewelery or garments to add to their wardrobes should definitely stop by The Village Bicycle, which is located on 79-81 Ledbury Road in Notting Hill.
