Chanel Press Day

As many fashion journalists are no doubt aware, one of the perks of the job is getting to go to press days where you can mingle and network whilst checking out next season's collections of amazing brands such as Chanel. This is exactly what I got to do yesterday. Although I wasn't blown away by the clothes, the accessories more than made up for this. Inspired by a magical "under the sea" theme, the clutches were shaped like conches and decorated in gorgeous peachy tones, whilst other bags featured heavy beading/sequins reminiscent of an exotic mermaid. All of the accessories had a bit of glitter and sparkle to them and I think that they would add that extra something to any outfit, making us feel like true coral princesses. Chanel's make-up range is also an essential addition (and perhaps a more affordable piece of the brand) to your make-up routine and bag. Their foundations come in a variety of hues and shades and, as someone who has used their nail polishes, I can also vouch for the quality and longevity of the colour you get. Which is just as well because the lovely people at Chanel gave us a little parting present which you can see at the bottom of this post, and which I can't wait to wear soon :)

PS The little dog sitting comfortably in the Louis Vuitton bag was an added bonus!
