Summer Caftans

For those days when the weather just won't make its mind up, I love throwing on a carefree caftan/shirt for something quick and easy to wear. I don't shop in Tommy Hilfiger a lot, but I really loved this piece from their recent Promise Collection, which supports communities throughout Africa. The collection was unlike anything I'd seen in the shops and featured colourful prints and quirky dresses, tops and shorts for men and women. The best part is, it all goes towards a good cause. The only problem I have with this item is that it's slightly flimsy and creases easily (as you can see on the photos), but other than that it makes a great summer addition, and can be worn loose or belted (as I have done here).

Leather on Denim

I never though denim on (faux) leather would be an interesting combination until I saw some inspiring blogs and decided to go for it myself. A bit chillier today, hence the pained expression on some of these photos. This is one of my favourite shirts ever (from Tommy Hilfiger) and I hope to get some more in other colours, because they really are very versatile and easy to throw on when you can't be bothered. I also love the stud detailing. You'll also see my new bag from Primark which I think is very classic and also has plenty of room to hold all my stuff. The skirt is from Oasis, boots from H&M and coat from Jane Norman. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Denim on Denim

Very casual and somewhat wintry look for yesterday since the weather here in Frankfurt has been pretty terrible these past few days and yesterday I was genuinely cold while taking all these pictures. Maybe the summer has already been and gone here in Western Europe? Who knows. At any rate, this time next week I ll be in Bulgaria where it's apparently around 38 degrees...I've been looking for a denim shirt for ages and this one I'm wearing from Tommy Hilfiger is perfection. I love the studs detailing on the shoulders and the really stonewashed look of the shirt.

A Few from the Weekend

No place sums up Christmas for me like Germany and its Weihnachtsmarkt (meaning Christmas market for those of you as challenged as me in the language). Along with a few birthday celebrations, I made my annual visit to the Marburg Christmas market with some friends to snuggle under the heat lamps, drink glühwein (mulled wine), and of course, layer up with some of my warmest winter clothes, whilst trying to look as 'fashionable' as possible. Of course, very few people actually admit that being cold and looking good don't really go hand in hand, but here we are, making our very best attempt:
