It's been way too long again lovely readers but the last week has been a frenzy of organising my life and working on my final MA project, all in preparation for my two and a half month absence from London town. And I. cannot. wait. I've grown tired of London lately and I'm ready to spend my last summer as a free person/lowly student taking photos, living life in the sun and making some lasting memories. So I am excited to be leaving. Which brings me to my quick and last minute Primark dash today where I picked up the following items:
I've been looking for some of these friendship type bracelets for ages and the pair shown here was only around £1, although I'm sure you could pick up some really cool and more interesting designs at a market or something like that. The ring is very bling and looks pretty flashy on (although I'm still looking for a nice knuckle ring so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!). And the clutch is simply gorgeous-big enough so as to be able to fit all my stuff in but also versatile in terms of colour and it also has a handy strap which you can use to carry it. I think I made some girls very pissed off today as I dived for the last one of those...
I'm also very excited to show you the finished photos from a shoot I did on Saturday with a very talented photographer and a designer whose clothes I have fallen in love with....the photos aren't quite ready yet but for now, here's a sneaky preview....

Neon Hearthrob
Never thought I'd say this, but I'm loving the neon trend for S/S 2011, and especially this funky editorial called 'Neon Girl' (Erin Heatherton by Enrique Badulescu).

From the archives
Someone on twitter earlier this week made a very valid comment: 'Have June and April made some sort of a pact to switch places this year or what?' And yes, it seems that they have-I don't think I have ever seen it rain here every day. But enough about the weather. Since I won't be able to post any outfits anytime soon due to the monsoon we're having I dug up these old photos from a photoshoot I did a couple of years ago on a beach in Brean (I think that's what it's called). It was soo cold and so windy but we had a lot of fun. This dress I got about 3 years ago in New Look and I still wear it-in fact its good for both summer and winter looks as you may remember from this post.

And, in other news, is everyone excited about the announcement that Versace are to design a line for H&M? As a huge H&M fan I'm happy that so many big names in fashion are opting to do diffusion lines for the store because it means that ordinary folks like us can have a slice of high fashion at an affordable price. And judging by the pre-spring line that Donatella has designed for H&M (due to launch in January next year), the main collection (which is due to go on sale this November) is bound to be a huge hit.

A little piece of paradise
I don't think I haven't blogged for over a week since this blog started but I have a good excuse for my being a bit awol the past few days. And that reason is that I spent the last few days in the gorgeous Ibiza-the perfect start to what I hope will be an amazing summer. For those who haven't been to the island, it's not all parties and pills. On our last day we explored the gorgeous Dalt Villa which is basically the medieval part of Ibiza town and it had some of the most breathtaking and romantic scenery I have seen. Other than that, what can I say? The island completely lives up to its reputation of amazing scenery, hot weather and the best clubs in the world. I would definitely recommend Pacha which had a great atmosphere and lots of crazy cold air sprayed every once in a while to cool everyone down. This is also in some ways a mini-outfit post-the dress I'm wearing below is actually from Tescos and I'm amazed at how much nice stuff they had in there. This is the perfect summer dress-very light, wearable and with nice colours.

Graduate Fashion Week Roundup
I was lucky enough to be invited to the UCA Rochester Graduate Fashion Show on Monday night where the mens and womenswear students showed off their final collections. There was a real mixture-from lots of bright popping colours, to muted tones and gothic themes. What struck me most though was the overall tendency in the collections for either covering the models' heads or for having large pieces of fabric cut out (e.g. from the back or from a maxi-skirt, for example). Maybe the Rochester students are setting some A/W trends? We ll just have to wait and see. Here are some of my favourites from the show:
